Since her first release more than 25 years ago, singer/songwriter Ferron has been writing inward-facing, confessional songs revered for the poetry of their lyrics; her influence on the music of folk-inflected female performers, from Ani DiFranco to kindred spirit Bitch, would be difficult to overestimate.
